Mykey is a character. When he was a pup, a squirrel chucked a pine cone at him. Since he was too little to catch the squirrel, he decided chewing the tree down was the most prudent method of attack. It took over a year, but he successfully chopped down that tree at New Year's eve 2021. No one is sure what happened to the squirrel, but the picnic table did not survive the fall.

Life in the yard is all about play and goofing around with our guardian dog, Phoebe, but when it's time to work, he's all business.

With a natural outrun and what I call a "calm eye", he has been the easiest dog I have ever trained. He's a thinking dog. After an incident involving a wild ewe and his leash caught in her hoof, he prefers to ask his sheep to move rather than grip them.

The experience didn't stop him from taking a nip when an old ewe is simply not going to move though. He simply doesn't like the chaos that sometimes happens when he grips a sheep and the flock explodes around him.

This year (2022) we plan to return to the competitive stock dog trials, competing in the Nursery and Novice divisions.

Mykey and Wendy's puppies were born February 20, 2022. Price includes first vaccination, deworm, CBCA registration, and microchip.
